Are you looking to enhance your clinical practice with evidence-based tools? Whether you are a seasoned therapist, a new clinician, or a counselling student, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offers a powerful framework for helping clients manage emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and complex mental health challenges.

Healing Mind DBT is proud to announce our upcoming DBT Skills Training for Clinicians, happening online via Zoom on Sunday, June 28 and Sunday, July 5, 2026.

Why DBT Training is Essential for Modern Clinicians

DBT is no longer just for Borderline Personality Disorder. Today, it is recognized as a highly effective, skills-based treatment for a wide range of diagnoses, including:

  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Substance Use Disorders
  • Eating Disorders
  • Chronic Suicidality and Self-Harm

As clinicians, having a deep understanding of the four DBT modules—Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness—allows us to provide clients with practical, life-changing tools they can use immediately.

What to Expect from This Training

Led by experienced trainers Rob McLeod and Kelsey Murrin, this two-day intensive training is designed to give you a solid foundation in the form and function of DBT skills.

Training Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Overview: Learn the theoretical underpinnings and the practical application of the DBT model.
  • Skill Mastery: Dive deep into all four skills modules.
  • Clinical Integration: Learn how to start integrating these skills into your existing practice right away.
  • Evidence-Based: Training is grounded in the model created by Dr. Marsha Linehan (Behavioral Tech).
